Job description

Overseeing AZHD technology operations and evaluating them according to businesses requirements


Design, generate and implement IT policies and systems to support the implementation of set strategies for the hospital

Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs

To ensure IT systems and people are effectively functioning within the limits of budget, time and specifications 

To be considered for the role, you should have;

1. Implementation experience in hospital (IP/OP), pharmacy and/or any retail environment.

2. Knowledge in integrating third party softwares

3. Ability to understand the hospital’s new business requirements, able to document and provide insights to vendors

4. Sound knowledge on both HCM, Finance and MM business process understanding.

5. Good understanding on SAGE, Power BI platform, legacy systems etc.

6. Be able to coordinate with management and across business functions on process improvement and new business process rollouts

7. Inspect the use of technological equipments and softwares to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency

8. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems

9. Proven experience as an IT Manager, Head of IT or similar role with experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications in Healthcare setting.

10. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.

11. Experience in controlling departmental information technology budget

12. Excellent organizational and leadership skills with outstanding communication abilities

13. BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

14. 5+ years’ experience in IT management and support of healthcare information systems.

15. Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems. 

16. Experience leading and managing large IT projects.

17. Experience with IT services performance metrics and benchmarking.

18. Experience with IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
